THE BEGINNER'S QUESTION SHEET

# Good questions. Clear answers.

This page answers common first questions about growth-hormone peptides and the route to licensed review. It explains the words and the limits. These answers are general information; they cannot choose a compound or decide whether treatment is suitable for you.

NXT LVL / FIELD NOTES Evidence before expectations

## Start with the words. Then the decisions.

### Is NXT LVL a peptide store?

NXT LVL is a guide with no products for sale. A search for next level peptides or nxt peptides may have brought you here. These pages explain names and research, with no personal medical advice.

### What is a peptide?

A peptide is a short chain of amino acids, the small parts that also make up proteins. The word names a type of molecule. It does not tell us that a product is safe, approved or suitable for a person.

### What does secretagogue mean?

It means a substance that prompts a gland to release a hormone. For these peptides, the gland is the pituitary, a small gland beneath the brain. The hormone is growth hormone. A secretagogue is not growth hormone itself.

### What is the growth-hormone axis?

An axis is a chain of signals between parts of the body. Here, a brain signal reaches the pituitary gland, which releases growth hormone. Growth hormone is also linked to IGF-1, a protein involved in growth. The name describes a hormone system, not a training plan.

### Are CJC-1295 with DAC and without DAC the same?

No. DAC means drug affinity complex, an added chemical part that attaches to a blood protein. The form without DAC lacks that part. FDA, the U.S. drug regulator, regards them as different active ingredients. The small human studies of CJC-1295 do not establish the evidence for the no-DAC form.

### Does combining CJC-1295 and ipamorelin settle the research gaps?

No. A study of one ingredient is not a study of the pair. The available human research does not establish that this combination delivers training, recovery or body-composition results. A familiar blend name does not answer the questions about its exact ingredients or safety.

### Is tesamorelin approved for general weight loss?

No. An FDA-approved tesamorelin product has a specific use for excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV and lipodystrophy. HIV is a virus that affects the immune system. Lipodystrophy means a change in where the body stores fat. The label says the medicine is not for weight loss. Compounded versions are medicines prepared to order. They are not FDA-approved.

### Is sermorelin sold today as an FDA-approved medicine?

The FDA records show the earlier approved products as discontinued. Pharmacy-made sermorelin is not FDA-approved. Its history includes hormone testing and care for children with a growth-hormone shortage; it is not an approval for adult training or aging goals.

### What does research use only mean on a product?

The label describes a product sold for laboratory research, often also marked not for human use. The sale does not include a review of your health or a prescription decision. The words are not proof of safety for a person, and they do not turn a lab sale into medical care.

### Does withdrawing an FDA nomination change approval?

No. A nomination is a request to consider an ingredient for compounding. Withdrawal means the request was taken back. FDA's page dated April 22, 2026 still lists safety concerns beside the withdrawn entries. It gives no individual withdrawal dates. Withdrawal is not approval or clearance.

### What happens after I follow a Promise Peptides link?

Promise Peptides is open and prescribes these peptides now through licensed U.S. providers. The link opens its website to start a visit. A provider reviews every request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies. U.S. patients only. Availability varies by state and by treatment. Promise does not offer care outside the U.S.

### Does starting a visit mean I qualify for a peptide?

No. A licensed U.S. provider reviews every request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies. A pharmacy separately checks the ingredient and applicable rules. Starting a visit promises neither a prescription nor a particular treatment.

### What does compounded mean?

It means a medicine prepared to order, rather than an approved finished product supplied by its manufacturer. The ingredient must meet the rules for that type of pharmacy. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. A prescription does not, by itself, settle whether a pharmacy may make a particular substance.
